When I’m not buying clothes from the thrift store for cents on the dollar, I’m looking for brands with quality, natural materials who do good for their employees and the earth. Enter: Pact, a company selling GOTS certified organic cotton, Fair Trade, quality clothes for people of all ages. Pact’s “Fair Trade factories provide safe working conditions, empower and uplift local communities, and protect the environment”. We’ve been buying from them for years and LOVE their clothes.

I head in for leg surgery next week and one of the things on my pre-op checklist is wide leg pants to accommodate the bandages. I have two pairs of well worn (*ahem*, ratty) pj bottoms and decided to treat myself to these beautiful Pact pants. They are super soft, thick organic cotton that will last for years. And they have a couple details that make me smile (side slits, high yet not too tight waist, flattering but comfortable).

As far as price goes, they are a bit on the high side for our budget at $50 a pair, but I found a sale and was able to get them for $35. After three years of buying their clothes, I can sincerely recommend them as a wonderful option for when you need/want to buy new. The slightly higher price point is worth it for hand-me-down quality pieces and the peace of mind that comes from knowing the people who sewed our clothes were treated fairly.
